QuickBooks Desktop Enterprise with Hosting

You can connect to QuickBooks Desktop Enterprise Hosting Service through one of three paths, depending on your operating system and preference: on the web, through Microsoft Remote Desktop Connection Client, or through a Java-based client.

Option 1: Web

On the Right Networks website, click the login button at the top of the homepage. Sign in to your account with the username and password you received when you signed up. The client software will download to your device automatically.

System Requirements

  • Properly configured Internet connection (56K or higher; broadband recommended)
  • Windows XP SP3 or later-based computer (Windows XP SP3, Vista, Windows 7, or Windows 8)
  • Microsoft Internet Explorer browser with ActiveX controls enabled
  • 386 or newer Intel-compatible central processing unit (CPU)
  • At least 4MB available disk space

Option 2: Microsoft Remote Desktop Connection Client Software

This option works via a software client that you download to your Windows or Macintosh computer.

For Windows

The Remote Desktop software you'll need is built into Windows Vista, Windows 7, and Windows 8. For Windows XP, you must download Microsoft's Remote Desktop Connection client.

System Requirements

  • Properly configured Internet connection (56K or higher; broadband recommended)
  • PC running Windows XP SP3 or later (Windows XP SP3, Vista, Windows 7, or Windows 8)
  • 386 or newer Intel-compatible CPU
  • At least 4MB available disk space

For Mac OS X

Download Microsoft's Remote Desktop Connection client software for Intel-based Macs or for PowerPC-based Macs.

  • Properly configured Internet connection (56K or higher; broadband recommended)
  • Mac OS X version 10.1 or newer
  • PowerPC or Intel CPU
  • At least 3MB available disk space

Option 3: Java Remote Desktop Protocol (RDP) Client

We make this option available for people who use Linux and other non-Windows, non-Macintosh operating systems. It provides only limited functionality, however, and Right Networks does not provide support for this configuration.

Various Java RDP clients can connect to the service. The clients properJavaRDP and rdesktop, have been shown to work.

Supported RDP Clients

  • Windows - RDP client version 5.2 or newer (version 6.0 or higher recommended).
  • Mac - RDP client 2.1.1 or newer (version 8.0 or higher recommended).
  • Mobile Devices - Microsoft Remote Desktop 8.0 or higher for Android or iOS. Other 3rd party RDP applications may work, but have not been tested by Right Networks.
  • Linux - rdesktop builds will allow connectivity. If you need to print we recommend using the TSPrint rdesktop build located here: http://www.terminalworks.com/remote-desktop-printing/downloads. Linux connectivity and printing is compatible with Right Networks, however technical support for these products is limited to best effort troubleshooting.

Licenses for QuickBooks Enterprise 1-4 users are 10% off. For year one, receive 40% or 10% respectively off the current list price of an annual subscription to QuickBooks Desktop Enterprise 2017. If you wish to purchase QuickBooks Desktop Enterprise with Hosting with 11-30 licenses, please call for custom pricing.

The Hosting Service element of QuickBooks Desktop Enterprise with Hosting is a monthly subscription. Each month, your account will be automatically charged the agreed-upon price of the Hosting service unless and until you cancel. Cancel at any time by calling Intuit at 800-300-8179, prior to your monthly renewal date. When a customer calls to cancel, it is canceled and refunded at the date through the end of current billing period. The QuickBooks Desktop Enterprise software portion of the QuickBooks Desktop Enterprise with Hosting bundle is a annual subscription.

If you choose to purchase QuickBooks Desktop Enterprise using the Monthly Payment Plan or QuickBooks Desktop Enterprise with Hosting, you elect to pay your annual subscription in equal payments over the course of 12 months. Purchasing an annual subscription for QuickBooks Desktop Enterprise commits you to a 12 month term. You must pay for all 12 months of the subscription in full based on the then current rate of QuickBooks Desktop Enterprise. If you choose to cancel inside the first 60 days, you can opt to receive a refund per the 60 day money back guarantee (see http://enterprisesuite.intuit.com/legal/terms.jsp for details). However, if you choose to cancel after the first 60 days and prior to the end of month 12 you will be subject to a termination fee equal to the amount of monthly payments left on your annual subscription. For purpose of clarity, if you pay for 6 months and have 6 months remaining on your annual subscription, which starts at date of enrollment, you will be charged a termination fee equal to the then current monthly fee of QuickBooks Desktop Enterprise multiplied by 6 months (remaining months left on annual subscription).
