Important Announcement Regarding
Sales Management ES Beta
We launched the Sales Management ES Beta with the desire to provide Enterprise Solutions customers an easy way to manage their sales leads and opportunities. Based on the feedback from the Beta and other factors, we have decided to stop the project. As a result, this Beta test will not result in a product release and we will discontinue the Sales Management ES Beta on September 17, 2009.
The feedback we have received during the Beta was constructive, direct, and highly valuable as we consider our next steps in the realm of customer and sales management. Thank you. We seek to minimize any disruption this decision may cause your business by providing 45+ days until the beta stops and easy ways to export your data.
The data you have entered into Sales Management ES Beta is 100% yours – and we will provide two easy ways to get your data out of Sales Management ES into a neutral format. Please see the FAQs below for specific how-to’s.

How do I export my data from Sales Management ES?
There are two options for getting your data out of Sales Management into a neutral, flat-file format:
1. Basic Export – You can use the "Export" link within Sales Management to export the "core" data for each type of record (contact, opportunity, etc.). "Core" data includes all of the fields you see on screen except for the relationships with other records. For example, exporting Contacts using this method would give you all of the contact data you have entered but would not identify the Account that the Contact is associated with. This option is the most user-friendly, but obviously lacks the relationship data that may be important to you.
The "Export" link is located in the upper right of the Opportunities, Contacts, Accounts, and Activities screens.
2. Full Export – You can use the Full Data Export utility to export all of your Sales Management ES data.
– Go to the Sales Management ES Data Export Utility
– Log in using the same username and password you use to access Sales Management
– Export your data by clicking the links
The Export Utility provides a link for each table in your Sales Management ES database. Each one can be downloaded as an Excel-readable .csv file by simply clicking the link.
How long do I have to export my data?
The Basic Export option will go away when all Sales Management ES services are terminated on September 17, 2009.
Consistent with the terms of service and data retention policy, the Full Export option will be available to you up to 30 days after the termination of service on September 17, 2009.
Does Intuit plan to offer another solution for customer and sales management?
We are evaluating how best we will address customer and sales management for the mid-market, based on our learning from the beta. We are continuing to move forward with Intuit Customer Manager which is targeted towards the needs of smaller businesses. If your needs are primarily around basic contact/customer management we encourage you to try Intuit Customer Manager. Other options are also available at the Intuit Marketplace.
