Step 4: Upgrade the software on all your workstations
Uninstall previous versions of QuickBooks Desktop Enterprise
Make sure everyone's on the same page:
Before you test-drive the many new features of the newest Enterprise version, it's important to make sure all of your workstations have been upgraded to the same version. Workstations running older versions of Enterprise will not be able to open your company file once it has been updated by being opened in the newest version.
Uninstall all old versions of Enterprise from all workstations. To do this, click the Windows Start Button > Settings > Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs.
Download the latest version of QuickBooks Desktop Enterprise
If you haven't already done so, download the latest version of QuickBooks Desktop Enterprise. Then proceed with the steps below, which will instruct you when to open the file.
